It’s happened five times now. My daughter and I drive up and see one or two deer – bucks – storm out from under the far side of my deck. I can’t believe they can even get in there. There’s only about three feet of clearance (see right), and they’re handicapped by antlers. They must be crawling in there on their little deer knees. But why? There’s no delicious vegetation – nothing but dirt and construction scraps. I don’t see the attraction. There’s plenty of shade around here that doesn’t require crawling over old roofing nails.
